The FP/C Series presses are designed to provide exceptionally fast curing of urea’s, pva’s and other adhesives that can cure with heat. The press can also be used for the hot forming of certain plastics such as polycarbonate and acrylics; it can also be used as a cold press. The FP-C presses use the convection principal which is movement of hot air in an enclosed area with internal fans creating a faster heat buildup and more even heat distribution avoiding “hot” spots caused by heating elements placed close to the work piece. The use of convection is exclusive to us. Curing time can be reduced by as much as 90% depending on several factors such as the size, thickness and shape of the work piece.

Heating type: convection type pre-set to 85 degrees centigrade which is the correct temperature for fast curing of urea’s, pva and other types of adhesives
Heating elements: 2-4500 watt coils, FP-C 1000 has 4-3500 watt units
Temperature controls: solid state, digital read out, pre-set at the factory but are field adjustable within a fairly narrow range without changing the temperature controlling thermocouple, automatic temperature control w/ solid state, high voltage relays and protective fusing
Vacuum: Busch 16 cfm, oil cooled rotary vane generating 29.9” hg (absolute vacuum) running “full time”
Vacuum reserve: 30 gal, ASME cert. reserve vacuum tank w/1” electronically controlled dump valve allowing complete evacuation of the membrane in less than 3 secs (model800, model 1000 slightly longer)
Vacuum pump protection: solid state, resettable and adjustable motor overload protection
Casters: standard equipment
Air requirement: 100 psi @ 10 cfm
Power requirement: at 240 volts, single phase 50 amps-model 800, 70 amps-model 1000
Gasket: ½”x2” unique, closed cell material tested to 1000 cycles with fast, full recovery
Field replacement: both membrane and gasket are field replaceable with our exclusive (pat. applied for) membrane frame extrusion
Cover: stainless steel skin over 1”x2” aluminum skeleton w/ 1” insulation foam and covered with high temperature, foil lined blanket keeping external heat transfer to an extreme minimum maintaining internal temperature. Cover is hinged separately so the press can used as a cold press if desired
Membrane frame lockdowns: custom made, case hardened adjustable frame locking clamps
Platen height: 36”

Auxillary Vacuum Port
3’ x 4’ system shown with optional leg set and optional Series 12 vacuum pump. Use your own vacuum pump or choose any pump from our wide selection.
Extra wide opening for easy loading and unloading
3’X4’ model shown with optional leg set.
The Frame Press comes fully assembled.
Designed for shops that already have a vacuum pump from a bag system or cnc equipment. Simply attach your existing pump and you’re in business. Of course, if you don’t have already own one, you can select a pump from our complete line-up.
The optional leg set is pre-drilled and tapped. Each leg, stretcher, and cross bar is numbered for easy assembly. The entire system has been completely set up, tested and adjusted at the factory, so there is no guessing on your end.

Features that set the “S” Series apart
The platens, made of 3/4” lmdf laminated and edge banded on four sides, are permanently mounted to a 2” square, heavy duty frame that is welded with supporting cross bars and powder coated for extra durability.
The membrane is .030 polyurethane 3” in height.
The top frame is 1.5” extruded, anodized structural aluminum and is assisted in lifting with a matched set of air springs and two convenient stainless steel handles.
The pump is connected to the valve on the right and the vacuum is started by opening that valve with the exhaust, or left valve, closed.
Exclusively ours, the newly designed “air path” mesh top. The air being evacuated flows both above and below the mesh for the quick and complete development of vacuum. “Squeeze out” easily peels off and the mesh is easily and economically replaceable.
Extra heavy duty clamps ensure a complete seal of the top frame for rapid vacuum evacuation. The clamps are located on the front as well as both sides of the frame.
Extra heavy duty corner braces ensure the top membrane remains rigid. These braces are made in our shop and are not commercially available elsewhere.
Correctly balanced air springs aid the lifting of the frame top and hold it open until your work pieces are in place, and you’re ready to draw down the vacuum.
Special die cast, sliding hinges allow the membrane frame to compress at full vacuum, while minimizing wear and maintaining a perfect seal for superior performance.
Large diameter valves for intake (right) and exhaust (left) aid fast evacuation. The control valves are conveniently placed at the front of the press for easy access.
